Des Moines, IA (January 27, 2026) — Iowans for Adoption is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Zollman as its new Board President.

Tony and his wife, Jenni Zollman, live in Adel, Iowa, and share a strong personal connection to adoption. Tony is the father of two older children, Simon and Campbell, and he and Jenni adopted their daughter, Vivian, at birth. Their family’s adoption journey has shaped their deep commitment to ensuring children have access to safe, permanent, loving families.

Tony brings a wealth of leadership, business, and financial expertise to Iowans for Adoption. He is a Financial Advisor with a large national financial services company in West Des Moines, where he owns and operates his own practice. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Tony served as President and CEO of Heartwood Imperial Homes, a high-end custom home builder based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Tony earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Simpson College. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, multiple insurance licenses, and the professional designation of APMA – Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor.

Both Tony and Jenni actively volunteer with Iowans for Adoption and share a passion for supporting all facets of adoption.

“I am honored to step into this role,” said Zollman. “Adoption has positively impacted our family, and I am committed to helping ensure every child has a safe, permanent, loving family. I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated board and leaders across Iowa to further our mission statewide.”

Tony’s leadership and personal commitment to adoption will help guide Iowans for Adoption as the organization continues to provide education and advocacy to improve adoption outcomes statewide. Tony assumed the role from attorney Jerry Foxhoven, the former Director of Iowa's Department of Health and Human Services, Executive Director of the Neal and Bea Smith Legal Clinic, and Director of the Joan and Lyle Middleton Center for Children’s Rights.
