Every child deserves a safe, loving, permanent family. This mission drives everything we do--helping get kids adopted from foster care, helping families navigate the adoption and foster care processes, increasing the public's knowledge of Iowa's Safe Haven Act, and sharing stories of adoption and foster care. Human Trafficking of Child in Foster Care who Became Adopted

In Iowa, every day, thousands of children live in foster care, and more than 800 currently have no parents with legal rights. These children are waiting to be adopted. It often surprises people to learn that adopting from foster care typically costs very little or nothing. Part of our mission is to reduce myths and provide clear, practical guidance so families can move forward with fostering, adopting, and keeping .

Our goals (for 2026) have remained the same since our inception, and we need the public's help to:

  • Celebrate children, families, and all members of the adoption triad.

  • Raise awareness about adoption and foster care, grounded in accurate information.

  • Help every child find a permanent, loving, nurturing, stable family.
